Adult Education and Training (AET) is available to adults who would like to complete their education. An outcomes-based programme, AET aims to provide basic learning tools, knowledge and skills and provides participants with nationally recognised qualifications.
What learning formats are available for AET?
AET Training is available in 2 different learning formats.
- Computer assisted learning is were the learner works off a computer and the facilitator checks and marks the workbook
- Face-to-face learning is were the learner is taught by the facilitator in a face-to-face fashion and the facilitator marks the workbooks
What does AET consist of?
The four levels of AET training are equivalent to Grades R to 9.
AET includes training in:
- language, literacy and communication
- mathematical literacy
- natural science
- arts and culture
- life orientation
- human and social science
- economic and management science.
Funding is available from the various SETA’S and ranges from R 1 500.00 to R 2 500.00 depending on the SETA. For more information please contact our offices on 011 425 3575.
